Zakat Al-Fitr

Zakat Al-Fitr

Fitre Zekâtı

Zakat Al-Fitr is a fundamental obligation for every Muslim, ordained by the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him), as narrated by Ibn Umar.

It is a form of alms given during Ramadan, serving as a means of purification for the fasting person and support the basic needs of the poor and vulnerable families. It symbolizes communal solidarity and empathy.

The Turkish Presidency of Religious Affairs has stipulated Zakat Al-Fitr amount for this year at 130 Turkish Lira per person.

You can pay it according to the determined amount in your country of residence, and you can also give any additional amount you desire above the specified Zakat as a voluntary contribution.

Religious scholars have permitted the payment of Zakat Al-Fitr from the first day of Ramadan, until before the Eid prayer.

Wishing you a blessed and rewarding Ramadan
